'Tis the season to be freezing

As a Flash animator at Zynga, I'm finding I can only hide from my weaknesses in painting and illustration for so long, especially with the rest of my team being avid (and amazing) photoshop users. This was meant to be a color/painting study, but it still seems simple and flat.   Probably has something to do with the thick, sketchy line work: a style I can't bring myself to give up.  Am I doomed to be a cartoonist forever?

I tried a little harder with the colors this time - they look muddy, but I'm happy I took some risks with it; the only way to grow.
